Investment literacy is a critical life skill that leads to more positive financial behavior and outcomes later in life. Portfolios with Purpose aims to achieve universal investment literacy by offering a practical online investment education taught by the best investors in the world.

The Portfolios with Purpose community represents the very best of the finance industry: investors who are charitably engaged, professionally accomplished, and motivated to pay it forward to those just beginning their careers. We are building a platform that brings together our community’s collective wisdom to shape an entire generation of students through education and mentorship.

Community Guidelines
Portfolios with Purpose is a diverse community. Our learners, digital faculty and partners represent diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and lived experience. Our Guidelines were designed to honor that diversity and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in our community.

Why
Investment
Literacy?
Participation in capital markets is one of the leading indicators of future financial stability and the single greatest predictor of intergenerational wealth. Those individuals and households who actively participate in the markets are also far more likely than their counterparts to take advantage of additional financial resources like checking accounts or insurance, to save for future expenses like buying a home or sending a child to college, and to make wise choices for their personal financial health.
Despite its life-changing significance, the competence and confidence to participate in capital markets – what PwP refers to as “Investment Literacy” – is a life skill that is rarely taught in the classroom.
